RACIMEC, RACionalizacion y MECanizacion, was founded in August 1966, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, by Architect and Dreamer Dr. Simao Brayer, as:

RACIMEC Informatica Brasileira S.A.

The sole purpose of its foundation was to develop and install Public Games and the Hardware and Software resources needed to collect their bets, free of fraud.

Our Own Technology: Mechanical
Bets were initially collected with a Port-a-Punch using IBM Cards. Initially, two cards were used (original and copy). Later, only one card, 1/3 folded, was used. Mechanical machines were developed by RACIMEC to collect bets and fight fraud, using cards. Key machine models included DataLef 3 for Soccer Lottery and DataLef 5 for Lotto. Over 50,000 units were installed.

2002 A NEW ERA

In Brazil, 1995, contract was sold to Gtech (protection period of six years; no more production of Lottery Terminals).
